Within the Ghanaian Diaspora community, Prophet Kofi Adonteng Boateng is a household name. His crusades are usually attended by sometimes over 15 thousand people.

His PRAYER LINE 712-432-1615 (access code 123123#) is always jammed with callers from all over the world praying and interceding on behalf of people.  He has performed so many miracles that whenever he holds crusades or people call to his prayer line, miracles happen and lives are changed. Many who have given up hope on the fruit of the womb, are miraculously blessed, many with previously incurable illnesses have been cured miraculous. In spite of his enormous spiritual gifts, Prophet Boateng, is an incredibly humble man. We recently caught up with him and asked him the source of his popularity. Excerpts:

Who is Prophet Kofi Adonteng?
Kofi Adonteng Boateng is a humble servant of God called to spread the word so that more people have the hope and faith in God.

When did you start your ministry and how has the journey to win souls for Christ been like so far?
Divine Prayer began as a small prayer group on a free conference line and has grown in a very short time to several thousand members. Although a predominantly Ghanaian prayer and intercessory group, we receive other nationalities and cultures on the prayer line as well. Though testimonies our numbers increase by the day. As you know I am only a vessel the Lord is using to show his Glory through healing and break through.  On the average we have about 2,000 worshippers on the evening session from 10pm - 1am. We meet at 10am in the morning as well with thousands of people joining to pray.

Why do you call yourself a Prophet? Is it because you can predict the
future?

It is not just about predicting the future. As the bible says a prophet is a person who serves as God’s spokesman to the people. “For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” 2 Pet 1.21. My calling is in line with God’s purposeful calling of
a prophet.

Large congregation worshiping the LordI have seen pictures at your crusades – the place is always so packed with
people. Why are you so popular? Is it the message you preach or the
uncanny ability for you to pin-point people’s problem and the recommended
spiritual solutions?

From our humble beginnings the prayer line has consistently increased in numbers through testimonies and miracles that continue to manifest in people's lives. People who join us spend more time praying. We indulge everyone into deeper devotion with God and through that there is manifestation of
God’s power through anointing and break-through. The testimonies are what is driving people who hunger and thirst for the supreme power of God. At the last crusade in New York a gentleman denounced his Islamic faith and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Women in search of the fruit of the womb have been blessed with one. People have received financial break through and many needs have been met. This is ample testimony to drive thousands of people to our crusades.

What is the aspect of your ministry that stands you out from the from the rest of
the pastors or prophets?

The centerpiece of my ministry is prayer. As you know Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. Pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made.  Through it we admit our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through the Son of God, Jesus our Lord. As much as we pray and share the unadulterated word of God the presence of God is manifested. As the Bible says. “You will know them by their fruits.” For me I believe the fruits of the ministry really stand out.

Tell us about your family?

I am the first of 4 children born to my parents who hail from Bonwire in the Ashanti

father who was a minister of God.
